Food was amazing, service was not Michelin star worthy.. They reccomendef us into ordering 125g’s of caviar for 4. When in reality 50g is enough.
Elegance; courtesy; know how!The exquisite dinner tonight, offered by a friend and work colleague, accompanied by rivers of vodka will be remembered for a long time as an excellence of true Russian cuisine! The distinct and clear flavors of the various types of caviar, accompanied by a fine selection of blins and various condiments, still resonate in my palate.Extremely satisfied with this dining experience.
Michellin Star is well deserved. Incredibly creative and talented Chef and outstanding service. Try to make it here every Valentines, and they never disappoint. This year, they exceeded very high expectations.
Lived up to all our expectations and then some.
Excellent restaurant for Caviar and SeafoodFreshest ingredients, delicious mouthwatering taste
What an expensive disappointment. I have been here 3 times already and came back because it was just that good....but it wasn't. We had to send back food, we were recommended champagne that was completely wrong for the meal....I really don't know what happened this last time, but it will definitely be the last time.
Delicious~The lunch tasting menu, in terms of New York, is delicious and inexpensive
Fresh Delicious and Elegant
Setting is nice and intimate with less than 10 tables. A big blue neon light in front of the restaurant spoils a bit the view though. One of the waiters (or perhaps the manager?) was surprisingly obnoxious, but the rest of the personnel was nice and professional. They have a good selection of caviar. The food is good but very classic. The dry aged ribeye was disappointing. Beverages are outrageously expensive.
The waiters that served us were so amazing and helped accommodate to our needs. The food is definitely on the pricier side but the quality, taste and presentation was definitely there to justify the cost. The Madeleines, cilantro and lychee sorbet and caviar were definitely the highlights of the night. This restaurant definitely deserves the Michelin star it upholds and I would highly recommend to go here on a special occasion as a date or with the family!
Delectable
Great resturant
I love caviar the antecion first
Great food and service, very classy and luxury
Sublime in every way! A classy, deluxe but very intimate space tucked inconspicuously upstairs on Madison Avenue makes every dining experience feel like a deliciously illicit affair. Exquisite caviar impresses even without the requisite accompaniments, and the comprehensive list of fantastic vodkas does not disappoint. Allow the attentive, knowledgeable staff to guide you.
Highway robbery buy from Costco 100 times cheaper and fresher
Superb dining experience! I have been to most 3 michelin starred new york restaurants and this one beats some of them (imho of course)! we enjoyed selection of 3 caviars ($225) and went for 3 course tasting menus after ($95). They bring a lot of blinis, toasts, sour creme, and even potatoes to try caviar with. Very cool. I was especially impressed with oysters under coconut foam and a tomato dessert (very unusual and delicious) The staff is very knowledgeable about caviars and dishes and very attentive without being overwhelming. The ambiance is classy, intimate (not more than 9 tables) and transfers you to the world of russian fairytales (i refer to the paintings on the wall). The windows overlook Madison av, and it looks cooler when it is dark outside. Absolutely recommended for a special occasion.
Superb lunch
a romantic get-away for the finer things in life+caviar, lobster, foie gras, and the feeling that you should have been a tsar.
Extremely expensive
The best dining experience
Small place limited menu before dinner service. Need look at petrossian for more expanded options. Great caviar service.
I really liked the restaurant. My only complaint would be the menu having Sake and the lead waiter saying that it is no longer maintaining it. The 3 course selection is of high quality and warning split for 2. It is too much food for one. You will spend at least $500 here with drinks for two. Beautiful ambiance.
Went there for lunch today to celebrate my birthday. The food was amazing. Great service , and great food. The staff made my birthday experience very memorable.
I always have an incredible experience here. The food is delicious and the caviar is divine!
The best experience. It's bettter than Daniel or Per se. The staff was awsome. The food was deliciois
Food service very close
A magnificent experience. True class. Fantastic food, beyond imagination. Highly recommend.
Went here with my boyfriend the day after Valentine's day. Everything was perfect, from the service, the ambiance, and the food. What a magical evening. Thanks to everyone at Caviar Russe! We will definitely be back!
Always wonderful! Great service, decor and wonderful ambience but have decreased in quantity compared to the other times I've been. I think they should weigh the caviar in front of us so there's no doubt about it and the restaurant will maintain credibility.
All about caviar!
Enjoyed a tasty food which was well-prepared with the chefs. Service was friendly, informed and prompt. Place was good for special occasion.
Wonderful and special place. Small but delicious menu. Exceptional service.
Great location, overseeing Madison ave. So so food.
Absolutely nothing about this place deserves a Michelin star. Extremely over rated and over priced, typical mid town trap for business meetings at best.
Bad food ,expensive and not fresh food.
Had a great family night here in Caviar Russe! Everything was on point, i love the small cozy place, delicious food and polite staff! Great experience for a family that enjoys American food! :)
Under construction but great place!
Elegance, attention to detail and excellent caviar!!
Unmatched quality from the food to service to ambiance, Well deserving of 5 stars!!
The best of New York
This is the first time I try caviar. As a restaurant that has “caviar” in its name, its tasting menu doesn’t have caviar LOL which is very funny. Our waiter kept recommending caviars to us, as it’s very expensive. When one dish was served, the waiter forgot to introduce it to us, as we didn’t know what we were eating. The food was just alright. I don’t think it justifies the Michelin one star and the price.
Great caviar selection!
Amazing!
Great place to have a nice dinner in NYC. The menu is very selective. Sea food, especially caviar are excellent. I love the decor they have done lately, and the service is always very friendly.
Passed by today January 15th and it looks like they are doing renovations...
Be warned! Do not purchase from this company! There are better ones out there. We attempted to purchase with overnight shipping, and the delivery occurred days after the scheduled date, ruining the idea to serve their product at our Thanksgiving dinner. I was able to contact them just before Thanksgiving after I saw that the package had not arrived, and was informed that there was some hiccup with Fedex. No body felt accountable, they apparently had no problem with me getting the order days late, although they should know that the wares spoil after sitting in a southern warehouse for days. They were unwilling to pay for a courier delivery from their Miami location. They offered to reimburse me for the shipping costs only instead of refunding the whole amount. Their staff was extremely rude on the phone and gave us no gesture to retain us as clients. Just another company not caring about their customers.
No better food in nyc
A must visit if you are in New York.
